THE ARGYLE MACHINE
'The Argyle Machine' is a sci-fi set in 2210, where Zechariah uses the outlawed Argyle Machine to enter into his past lives to track down his lost love. What started as a feature film idea, has since been made into a short, which will be used to promote and showcase the writer/director Eve Harding's work, in order to secure funding.
From Tudor times, to the Witch Trials, from World War II, to a year when the world is recovering from a devastating global war, Zechariah and Ruth each from different social, religious and economical backgrounds, meet and fall in love. Their relationship is always taboo, but Zechariah hopes to find a time when history and the future can be changed.
In the year 2210, Zechariah is a proudly compliant member of society, who works closely with the totalitarian leader 'Control'. But when, he meets secret rebel Ruth, he falls in love with her and despite their genetic differences, forms a timeless bond. When Ruth disappears, he uses the outlawed Argyle Machine to see her again and solve the mystery.

On the surface, Ruth appears to be an ordinary upstanding citizen, however she is secretly a member of a freedom fighting organisation, which plans to topple 'Control's' dictatorial regime. Falling for Zechariah was not part of her plan, but it may lead to the revolution she has always wanted.
Achan relishes in the power given to him by Control, to track down those who oppose the current regime. After following Ruth for months for her "inconsistent behaviour", his attention becomes drawn to Zechariah too.
